How to Stop Ink From Smearing ?
Over the years printers have become a very essential part of our work life. And inkjet printers are the most popular versions of printers as they become more compact in size as they become technologically advanced. But as they depend on pigments and dyes which are both water-based, in many cases the problem of ink smearing is seen. So, Today we will look into ways that will help you prevent ink smearing in the future.
1) Allow sufficient time for the ink to dry- The dry time of a print depends largely on the type of ink and paper. Therefore it is very important that you use the right kind of ink and paper for all your prints.
2) Use of good quality ink- When it comes to printing one of the most important aspects is the ink used. So we usually go for inexpensive quality inks and unbranded compatible ink cartridges to cut the cost of printing. The use of such inferior quality ink causes a stain. Thus the method of cost reduction will affect either the quality of the ink or the cartridge delivery system. And when using poor quality ink, there is very little chance that you will be able to prevent the ink from destroying. So it is very important for you to choose good and high quality ink.
3) Environment:- Paper will absorb moisture in a place where there is too much moisture and in this way the ink will take longer to dry in such papers.
4) Choose the right combination of paper and ink:- your print ink is smearing that the paper has been used and the printer’s ink is not compatible. This usually occurs when the paper and ink used are of an inexpensive quality. If you want you can also improve the quality of the paper you are using. Such as using paper with special coatings on them. This coating on the paper will seal the ink and prevent the ink from melting.
5) Change the printer settings to prevent the ink from being destroyed:-Destroying the ink can only prevent your printer’s settings from changing. Typically, all printers come with a default setting. This means that they will all have a universal setting. This works fine if you are using paper and ink as recommended. But if you are using a different paper type then it is best to change the printer’s setting accordingly. And if the changes are not in sync, these paper changes and ink types can be a big factor in ink smearing.
6) Use of sealant:- All most professional photographers who print their photos on their own know a trick to get that perfect image. That is the use of sealant. Almost all the images you print will be particularly susceptible to smoothing if you are using a coated photo paper. So it is important to use some products such as sealant to prevent smuggling of images. You can apply this sealant on top of your printed image.
